श्री राम जन्म भूमि के दक्षिण तरफ थोड़ी दूर सुमित्रा भवन नामक स्थान है। इसी स्थान पर महारानी सुमित्रा देवी के गर्भ से श्री लक्ष्मण और शत्रुघ्न पैदा हुए थे। हिजरी सन ७२४ में इस स्थान पर महाराज विक्रमादित्य का बनाया हुआ एक महल था, जो बाबर के आक्रमण में नष्ट हो गया था। इस स्थान पर सुमित्रा भवन लिखा हुआ एक पत्थर गड़ा है।
A short away on the south side of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is a place called Sumitra Bhawan. Sri Lakshmana and Shatrughna were born from the womb of Queen Sumitra Devi at this place. There was a palace built by Maharaja Vikramaditya at this place in Hijri AD 724, which was destroyed in the invasion of Babur. A stone has been buried at this place inscribed Sumitra Bhavan.
